MESSAGE OF THE MONTH
COVENANT WEALTH TRANSFER
TYPES OF RICHES OR WEALTH
Uncertain riches or wealth - 1 Tim 6:17
True riches or wealth - Luke 16:11
A. MAN: A TOTAL BEING - 1 Thess 5:23
Man’s life is made up of many significant parts – Spiritual, physical, Social, Emotional and Financial. There is interdependence and interrelatedness between these parts, and it is the will of God that each of these parts be made sound, strong and healthy according to God’s word.
B: ADAM: A PROTOTYPE MAN
Adam’ God’s prototype man in Eden was prosperous:-
Spiritually - Gen 3:8
Mentally - Gen 2:19-20
Physically - Gen 2: 7, 17
Financially/materially Gen 2:8-14
C FINANCIAL WEALTH: GOD’S WILL FOR YOU
Thus, financial wealth is God’s ultimate and absolute will for all His children. He created us in His image and likeness, Gen 1;26-27, 5:1, God Himself is wealthy Ps 24:1, 50:10-12, 1 Chr 29:11-12, Hag 2:8, Rev. 21;18-23. Thus, one of the areas where we resemble Him is in being financially wealthy.
D OUR COVENANT FATHERS ARE WEALTHY
Our covenant fathers are wealthy.
Abraham - Gen 13:2, 5-6, 24:1, 35
Isaac - Gen 26:12-14
Jacob - Gen 30:43
And if we are their children, we have to take after them. God wants us to be like them.
In fact, those who love and serve God were financially wealthy, financial wealth is one of the rewards love and commitment to God. This is proved in life of Solomon. 1st Kings 3; 3-14 and Job 1:1-3, 10. Thus, one of the undeniable proofs that we are God’s children and servants are our access into financial wealth Job 36:11.
E. THE TREND TODAY: Eccl 10:5-7
The trend today is wealth in the hands of the ungodly and unrighteous me, and children of god are wallowing in financial reproaches and abject poverty. In fact, poverty has become the conditioned living of the children of God these days.
F. WEALTH TRANSFER
There is a Programme on God’s agenda for the transference of wealth of the gentiles, and of course, the wealth of the entire nations of the world into the hands of the righteous- Ex 3;22,
Prov. 13:22, Isaiah 61:6
G. BIBLICAL EXAMPLE OF WEALTH TRANSFER

Note:-God is still in the business of wealth transfer today- Heb 13:8; Mal 3:6
H. COVENANT STRATEGY AND PRINCIPLES OF WEALTH TRANSFER
God is not bothered about global economic situations. He is not bothered or limited by your location, what he is interested in is that in whatever environment you find yourself, you must be blessed. It does not matter whether things are difficult in that environment or not. Even if there are problems around, as a child of God, you must be distinct. The will of God is that you prosper, flourish, blossom and shine wherever you find yourself. But this is not automatic; it is a function of knowing what key to employ and applying the key.
The following covenant principles will undeniably engender wealth transfer:-
1. Spiritual Development – job 22:21-30- This will grant access into revelation and divine guidance Gen 26;1-4,12-14
2. Holiness – Gen 39;1-4,20-23, Psalms 37:25; 112:1-3
3. Mental Development – Job 4:12-13. This will aid genuinety and creativity. Gen 30:37-43. Financial wealth is a function of quality ideas you have access to.
4. Wisdom – Prov. 8:12-18. Wisdom is a coin with two sides. The first side of wisdom is DIRECTION – Knowing what to do Eccl 10:10. The second side of it is DISCRETION – Knowing how to do it Eccl 10:15. Wisdom is a provoker of wealth. This is seen in the experience of : -
- The lepers 2 Kings 7:3-8
- Peter Luke 5:1-11
5. Hard Work – Psalms 1:3, Prov. 10:4, 20:13. This was Isaac’s master key. Gen 26:18-22. You must be a creative, hard and tireless worker to have access into covenant wealth. Laziness and idleness leads to poverty.
6. Giving – Prov. 11:24-25, Mal 3:8-12. The mystery of giving is that it is the provoker of favour. Luke 4:25-26, 1 Kings 17:8-16
7. Commitment to kingdom business – matt 6;33, Haggai 1;6-8, Luke 18:29-30
8. Attitude to money – Luke 16:13-16, Mark 12:43-44
9. The company you keep – Proverbs 28:19
10. Warfare – This is necessary as it will disarm opposition on your way to breakthrough and break the curse of poverty. Exodus 12:29-36
CONCLUSION
Thus, Isaac’s access into covenant wealth of the Philistines was on the basis of revelation, hard work and persistence. For Jacob, it was ingenuity, for Joseph, it was both revelation and ingenuity or direction. For Israel in Egypt, it was warfare and favour, while for lepers in 2 Kings 7, it was resourceful thinking.
If you lay hold on these covenant strategies, you are on your way into the land of COVENANT WEALTH TRANSFER
